Client: The person(s) booking and/or participating in the safari (“you,” “your”).

1. Booking and Payment
1.1 Reservations – A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of a deposit of 30% of the total tour cost.
1.2 Final Payment – The balance is due 30 days before the start date. Failure to pay may result in cancellation without refund.
1.3 Payment Methods – We accept payment in cash, mobile money or by bank transfer. Details to be provided at time of booking. All payments must be made in cleared funds.
1.4 Upon receipt of your 30% deposit we will commence reservations for relevant accommodation and other activities, together with deposits as may be required, some of which may be unrecoverable costs.

2. Cancellation Policy
2.1 By You – Cancellations must be in writing. Refunds are at the discretion of Meanda Uganda Ltd and as follows:
2.1.1 More than 60 days before departure: 100% of the deposit less 1.5 x all unrecoverable costs, or 75% of the deposit – whichever is the lesser.
2.1.2 30–59 days before departure: 100% of the deposit less 1.5 x all unrecoverable costs, or 50% of the deposit – whichever is the lesser.
2.1.3 Less than 30 days: No refund
2.2 By Us – We reserve the right to cancel for reasons beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, political unrest). In such cases, you may choose a rescheduled date or receive a full refund minus unrecoverable costs.

3. Inclusions and Exclusions
3.1 Included – Accommodation, transport as stated in the itinerary, park entry fees, guide services, and meals as specified.
3.2 Excluded – International flights, visas, personal travel insurance, alcoholic beverages, gratuities, and optional activities not listed in the itinerary.

4. Health, Safety, and Insurance
4.1 Medical Fitness – You are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit for the safari. We recommend a pre-travel checkup and required vaccinations (e.g., yellow fever, typhoid, hepatitis).
4.2 Insurance – Comprehensive travel insurance (covering medical, evacuation, and cancellation) is mandatory. Proof may be requested before departure.
4.3 Wildlife Safety – All guests must follow the guide’s instructions at all times. Approaching or feeding wildlife is strictly prohibited.
4.4 Health Risks – Uganda is a malaria zone; preventive medication is strongly recommended.

5. Travel Documents
You are solely responsible for obtaining valid passports, visas, permits, health card and any other required travel documents.

6. Liability
6.1 Participation is at your own risk. We are not liable for loss, damage, injury, or death arising from:
6.1.1 Acts of nature (floods, storms, wildlife encounters)
6.1.2 Accidents, illness, or injury during the trip
6.1.3 Loss or damage to personal property
6.2 We act only as an agent for service providers (lodges, transport companies, etc.) and are not liable for their acts or omissions.

7. Changes to Itinerary
While we make every effort to follow the confirmed itinerary, unforeseen circumstances (weather, road conditions, park regulations) may require changes. We reserve the right to make such adjustments in the interest of safety and quality.

8. Conduct
We reserve the right to remove any participant from the tour without refund if their behavior is deemed dangerous, disruptive, or in violation of park rules or Ugandan law.

9. Marketing
You consent to the use of any images taken by us or supplied by you in the course of the tour for marketing purposes, either on social media, website or other material unless expressly instructed in writing to the contrary.

10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our control (including natural disasters, war, pandemics, or government actions).

11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Ugandan courts.

By paying the deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
