Our mission is simple: to give you the best experience of Uganda. Your way.

By day, we go where others don’t. We take you off the beaten track to explore the magic of Uganda.

By night, we recommend camping. We do it in style. In the wild amongst the wildlife; on the cliff edge above the plain; by the lake with the hippos. A sundowner with ice and lemon; a menu of your choice. Campfire banter under the stars; a hot shower and a good nights’ sleep.

Prefer the conventional? We base you in hand-picked, mid-range lodges and tour by day in specially adapted, pop-up roof safari vehicles, absorbing the magic of Uganda. Trust us with a camp night or two? – you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Why Us?

Meanda Uganda is an independent, adventure tour company based in Entebbe, Uganda. We are owned and operated by Nick, a retired British architect and adventurer, and his wife Patrah, a Ugandan entrepreneur. Established in 2021, we are proud to be a young company with a fresh approach.

Why Uganda?

Because Uganda has it all: mountain gorillas, the “Big Five”, aardvarks to zebras and the second highest concentration of bird species on the planet. The Nile, Lake Victoria, 7 of the highest mountains in Africa, the Equator, the Rift Valley, the Great Lakes, 10 National Parks and the best climate on earth. 56 tribes, 70 languages – from the bars of Kampala to the bomahs of the Karamajong. Colourful, welcoming, friendly.

Why Camping?

To start with, the weather here is fantastic and there is something very special about sensing Africa, under the stars with a campfire – especially if you know all the right places.

But way before that, there is a phrase here. TIA. “This Is Africa”. At best it means – things do not always go according to plan. So how about being totally independent, self-reliant…

…and if you are, then just imagine the freedom that gives you to explore and absorb the Pearl of Africa!
