Reserves

Often overshadowed by the National Parks, the Uganda Wildlife Authority also manages 12 Wildlife Reserves, 5 Community Wildlife Management Areas and 13 Wildlife Sanctuaries throughout the country. Similarly with the National Parks, each of these contributes towards wildlife conservation and eco-tourism though many can tend to be a little obscure or off the beaten track for all but the specialist or determined visitor. Two of these, however, are definitely worth a look.
